Quarter Moon Ranch has always prided itself in its hard work, excellent horsemanship and the top Arabian bloodlines in the racing industry. Our cutting edge training is like none other. A unique balance of Endurance training combined with the fine tuning of Classical Dressage helps create a horse that is fit, fast and developed to it’s peak natural athletic abilities. This methodical blend of training incorporated with heart rate and GPS technology, strict attention to health and soundness assures an animal with willingness to perform, thereby maximizing its potential as a riding horse in any discipline.
This advanced departure from the usual horse racing/track mentality has enabled the Quarter Moon Ranch to break many of the common barriers and become known as one of the elite in the Arabian Racing Industry:
As an example, the 2013 and 2016 Darley Awards in Hollywood, CA honored Quarter Moon Ranch the title of Top Trainer of Arabian Race horses in the United States. Quarter Moon Ranch was also honored as Top owner in 2013 and has been recognized as the top owner and trainer at Arapahoe Park Race Track in Colorado for 2013, 2014, and 2015. We also took home Top Arabian Trainer at Delware Park in 2016.
In 2013 the UAE President’s Cup Gr 1 stakes, was run for the first time on the under card of the 30th Breeders’ Cup World Championships on November 1 at Santa Anita Park in California. We were honored to have 4 of our horses nominated for this race and are ecstatic that we not only won the race with So Big Is Better, we took 3rd with MS Dixie — the Burning Sand x Dixie Darlene mare who broke the Retama Park track record by 16 lengths November 17, 2012 and has been decorated as a top mare in the country for three years running.
And we continually are upping the ante! 2015 brought forth a new super star for Quarter Moon Ranch! Paddy’s Day won ALL THREE runnings (2015-2017) of the HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Flat Racing Triple Jewel Series which features a $150,000 bonus and a trip to Abu Dhabi to run in the Worlds Richest Arabian Horse Race. Paddy has gone on to become the richest Arabian Racehorse in US history with his whopping $1 million plus in earnings. He is also the first horse to win Darley Horse of the Year for 3 years in a row. Paddy also made history being the first American owned horse to run in the Kahayla Classic at Meydan Racecourse in Dubai during the Dubai World Cup. Stay tuned for more great accomplishments in 2018!
